Johnny Rowe Joins DTSPB

The Triumph Street Pipe Band are very pleased to announce the appointment of Johnny Rowe as the band’s new bass drummer.

"Johnny is regarded as one of the top bass drummers in the World and we are very excited and proud to have him join our ranks." Said LD Gary Corkin

Rowe said "After 14 competitive seasons and numerous accolades with the 78th Fraser Highlanders Pipe Band (including a World Drum Corps tittle and best bass title in 2007),  I'm extremely pleased to say that I've accepted the bass- drum position with Triumph Street Pipe Band. The band has had a record of consistency overseas, making it through to the World Championship final all eight years they have attended. I am super-stoked to be part of not only continuing that streak, but improving on the final result. The warm welcome I've received from the leadership and membership of the band only solidifies my belief that I have made the right decision in joining this classy organization."

PM David Hilder said “An opening became available in our ranks for bass drummer. The timing and opportunity to work with Johnny is perfect. Johnny will add great experience to the ensemble and overall sonic presence of the band."

Welcome Johnny Rowe.
