In September 2007, the Triumph Street Pipe Band signed a sponsorship agreement with the Dowco Group, a BC steel-detailing company, and subsequently changed its name to the Dowco Triumph Street Pipe Band.

Dowco founder Hugh Dobbie, Sr., a former pipe band drummer from Scotland, has always been a major supporter of local community groups, and wanted to give a local pipe band the opportunity to expand and grow.  Both the Dowco Triumph Street Pipe Band and The Dowco Group of Companies are committed to excellence, making this a wonderful opportunity for all.

In just under 40 years, Dowco has grown from a three-person operation to become the largest fully-automated steel detailing company in the world.

Founder Hugh Dobbie, Sr. attributes this success largely to the ability to recognize change and to embrace new processes and technologies early.

Established in Burnaby, Canada, in 1970, the company currently employs more than 230 people in five offices across Canada and one in Kolkata, India.
